Sound Level Verification

MKS is an authorised provider of sound-level verification for vehicles imported into Singapore from Japan and the United Kingdom.

What the service establishes

The certificate confirms the applicable manufacturer-stated sound information and engine-speed data required for the registration submission.

Sound and RPM requirements form part of Singapore’s vehicle environmental controls. MKS examines the available manufacturer and regulatory evidence, matches it to the vehicle identification and prepares a traceable electronic certificate.

  • Vehicle make, model and chassis identification
  • Model, specification, classification and engine references
  • Applicable accelerated and stationary sound data
  • Associated engine speed (RPM), where required
Electronic certificate¥27,500plus 10% Japanese consumption tax where applicable. Hard-copy delivery by DHL is additional.
